Environmental factors are considered a possible cause because flare ups of the condition are usually triggered by something. Without any triggering factor, the ailment stays inactive and flare ups may not be experienced.

Symptoms

The common Rosacea symptoms are mild in the beginning with only a noticeable increase in flushing or blushing. The face may appear constantly red. Blood vessels may also.become more visible

As the condition progress the symptoms get worse. They progress from just a redness of the skin to bumps or lesions and then to a thickening of the skin.

The eyes can also get affected with symptoms like redness, dryness and around the eyes.

Rosacea treatment

The treatment for Rosacea depends upon the severity of the symptoms. Usually antibiotics are tried first and they are administered through topical application or orally.

Laser surgery may be used to help lessen blood vessels and the redness. The same procedure is applied for the removal of bumps or thickened skin.

In the case of resacea around the eyes area, antibiotics and eye drops are prescribed medication.

The best treatment program starts early. The earlier signs of Rosacea are harder to treat. Early treatment may prevent the condition from getting worse, as well.

It is a big sigh of relief for those suffering from Rosacea. Many people have been just fine living with Rosacea. It does not inflict any physical pain as a result of the ailment except for irritation due skin's sensitivity.

If there is one negative impact by Rosacea, it is the psychological aspect. Some of those suffering from this ailment claim that they lose self esteem because they worry about its effect on their physical appearance. With proper care, though, the symptoms can be well contained and a person will not notice great changes in their appearance.
